# Ede dictionary-data attribution The data/yoruba-lexicon.jsonl snapshot is adapted from English Wiktionary contributors' Yoruba lexical entries, extracted by Wiktextract and published through https://kaikki.org/dictionary/Yoruba/index.html. Licence for this adapted dictionary material: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ No endorsement by Wikimedia, Wiktionary contributors, Wiktextract or Kaikki is implied. Every sense retains a link to its source Wiktionary page and to that page's contributor history, plus the licence URL. These links provide attribution to the contributing editors. The source snapshot was extracted 2026-10-03 from the enwiktionary dump dated 2026-09-02. The pinned input SHA-256 is: b1e51d277b749b763ad517f26afbd2f648ed67bf26414edd7b5197b56950d1ea Source artifact: https://kaikki.org/dictionary/Yoruba/kaikki.org-dictionary-Yoruba.jsonl Changes made by Ede: - Selected Yoruba common lexical parts of speech and single canonical headwords. - Preserved source tone marks, glosses, parts of speech, labels and usage notes. - Excluded proper names, characters, form-of/alternative-only senses, ambiguous canonical forms, quotations, examples with third-party references, examples without an explicit usage-example type, and nonlexical records. - Reorganized eligible senses and selected up to five attributed usage examples per sense into Ede's JSONL and database representation. - Added separate Ede editor-review status, initially source_imported. The material is source-derived, not independently verified by Ede or a credentialed native speaker. Editor review is not a licence or linguistic accuracy guarantee. Dialect metadata remains unspecified where not established. Raw source usage notes are preserved rather than converted into inferred facts. This notice applies to the adapted dictionary snapshot and its displayed definitions/examples, not automatically to Ede's application source code. It does not clear the licences of older recovered corpus records, whose unknown attribution/licence labels remain intact. Bulk corpus export remains disabled. No relation is automatically Ede-approved; approved links retain their source licence and attribution.
